A pilot qualifies to attend the F3K team selection contest if he/she:

 

Achieves a high finish in any 2 day, or 2 single day F3K contests.  Place is based on overall placing regardless of class (senior, open, expert, sport-flyer etc.)

Qualification is based on the following criteria:

About the USA F3K Team Selection league
Objectives:

· Enhance the F3K contest organization and increase contest attendance in the USA.
· Increase awareness of new and existing hand launch pilots about F3K contest activity in the USA.
· Provide a coordinated contest calendar for F3K contests nationwide.
· Serve as the main organizing body for the USA team selection process to be implemented in 2010
· Establish and continuously improve the process of selecting the USA team for F3K World Championship.
· Provide a simple but consistent way for any pilot to qualify for the Team Selection Finals.
Criteria for Team Selection Qualifier Contests:
Must follow the published F3K rules.
Must be an AMA sanctioned contest.
 Must be listed on www.f3k.us at least one month prior to the event.  The last day for a qualification contest is August 29, 2010.
Single day events must have at least 5 preliminary rounds.  Two day events must have a minimum of 10 preliminary rounds.  Only preliminary rounds will be used for the qualification process.
Small contests with less than 10 pilots may have two flight groups of less than 5 pilots otherwise 5.7.9.1 should be adhered to.  There will be no separation of groups based on skill or age class.
Pilots that qualify by placing high in contests throughout the US will be entitled to a 3 day team select contest where the pilots representing the USA in the first F3K WC event in 2011 will be determined.  Juniors need to attend one 2 day or two single day contests registered on www.f3k.us.  The team selection finals will take place in Wilson, NC, October 1-3, 2010.
